Most of the web really sucks if you have a slow connection
A couple years ago, I took a road trip from Wisconsin to Washington and mostly stayed in rural hotels on the way. I expected the internet in rural areas too sparse to have cable internet to be slow, but I was still surprised that a large fraction of the web was inaccessible. Some blogs with lightwei...

Why Our Super Bowl Ad Failed
Cards Against Humanity purchased a Super Bowl ad, but it was not successful.
Hasnain says:
"The problem we failed to anticipate was that sports fans ultimately had trouble making the leap from “Super Bowl” to “potato” to “Cards Against Humanity.” This was a real lesson in humility. The coordinated threats started on the East Coast and spread west two weeks ago, culminating in the evacuation of 14 centers on Tuesday. U.S. Jews insist the threats should not be dismissed just because no bombs have been found.
Refugees are already vigorously vetted. I know because I vetted them.
A former immigration officer describes the long, grueling process of gaining refugee status in the United States.
Hasnain says:
"Whoever wrote this order is evidently not aware that these screenings, procedures and questions already exist."
....
"All this information is available to Trump. The only explanation for this order is that refugees are being used by the president to appeal to his base at the expense of U.S. security. Such a move is not only despicable and devastating to the people who desperately crave the safety of our country — it erodes the American legal system by turning it into a political tool."
